A Funny Story

Arthur Crames had many wonderful traits. But his greatest trait was his generosity. He expressed this in many ways and in many settings -- at work, at home and in his community. He especially loved to tip well at restaurants, even before any services had been provided.

I recall a dinner we had in Boca Raton, FL. We were being served by a young female college student. She came to our table and began to fill our water glasses (Art loved water). As she did so, Art handed her a $100 bill and instructed her to make sure his water glass was always full during dinner. She replied, "Sir, for that tip I'll even drown you if you like!"
